Jot

meeting notes and dictation for Mac

Jot listens to your meetings and your voice and writes it all down, without sending your conversations to the cloud.

Meetings

any call, any room

Works with any call

Jot records your microphone and your Mac's sound together, so it works with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex or anything else that plays audio, as well as meetings in the room.

Who said what

Jot recognises different voices and labels each line with the speaker. Add names from a calendar invite or the Mac Calendar app and they're filled in for you.

Notes alongside

Type your own notes while the meeting runs. Afterwards, the transcript and your notes are saved together as a Markdown file in a folder you choose.

Clean audio

Echo cancellation removes the call coming back through your speakers, so the transcript isn't full of repeats.

Dictation

hold, talk, let go

Hold a keyboard shortcut in any app, talk, and let go: Jot types what you said where your cursor is. Double-tap the shortcut to keep listening hands-free.

Privacy

on-device

Speech recognition runs on your Mac. Recordings, transcripts and notes are stored on your Mac. Jot has no account and no analytics. The only features that send anything over the internet are the optional Claude summaries and smart formatting, which are off until you add your own API key and turn them on.
